Where is the House of Waterford Crystal located?
The House of Waterford Crystal is situated on The Mall in Waterford, Ireland. It is in the heart of Waterford City, just a hundred yards or so from the River Suir and the city’s main quay, and bordering the city’s Viking Triangle area.
What does a visit to the House of Waterford Crystal entail?
Our facility includes a Prestige Factory, a Retail Store, Exhibition Area and a café.
What will I see on the factory tour?
The guided tour of our factory includes a visit to all aspects of traditional crystal production including, mould making, blowing, quality inspection, finishing, cutting, sculpting and engraving.
How long should I allow for a visit?
The tour of our visitor experience and factory will take approximately 1 hour 30/40 minutes.
Is the building wheelchair accessible?
Do I have to book a factory tour in advance?
No, you do not need to book a factory tour of the House of Waterford Crystal in advance; you can come on the day. Tickets are available online. If you are booking in a guided tour for a group larger than 15 people, then you must book in advance.
Can you visit the Waterford Crystal Retail Store without purchasing a ticket?
Yes, the Waterford Crystal Retail Store is located just inside the Visitor Experience and visitors are welcome to visit the Store only.
Can I purchase at the Waterford Crystal Retail Store?
The Waterford Crystal Retail Store showcases the world’s largest display of Waterford Crystal in the world and has the complete range of all our products on display. We offer a Worldwide Shipping Service, Multi-currency Exchange and VAT Refund Service.
Can we just go for lunch to the House of Waterford?
Yes, the Crystal Café produces local pastries, sandwiches and serves high-quality teas and freshly brewed coffee.
Is there car parking available?
Parking for Waterford Crystal is available at the Bolton Street car park directly behind our factory. This is a pay-and-display car park and the charge is €1.00 per hour.
Is it ok to take photos or to film within the House of Waterford Crystal?
Yes, you can take photos and film both on the tour of the factory and in the Retail Store.
