Midleton Very Rare
Irish Distillers released a collection of 44 bottles of whiskey in 2020, the most expensive Irish whiskey in the world, a 45-year-old Irish single malt. Made up of six releases, there will be one release annually until the year 2025, ranging in age from 45 to 50 years old. All will be from the Old Midleton Distillery, which operated from 1825 to 1975. Irish Distillers comissioned Waterford to create a bespoke decanter for each release. Midleton Very Rare Silent Distillery Chapters One to Three were decanted into mouth-blown, crafted crystal decanters, produced by Waterford, with each of the bottles individually numbered.
