ITIC visit the House of Waterford Crystal

ITIC, the Irish Tourist Industry Confederation held their recent council meeting in the Granville Hotel in Waterford, on Wednesday September 12th, where they discussed the key issues involved with tourism in Ireland at present. ITIC consists of almost 30 representative organisations, covering all sectors of Irish tourism – accommodation, access transport, internal transport, key visitor attractions, incoming tour operators, ports and airports. The group took time out of their busy schedules to visit some of the key attractions in Waterford; the Bishops Palace, the newly open Medieval Museum, the House of Waterford and also a walking tour of Waterford.

During their visit to the House of Waterford Crystal, the group were taken on a VIP tour of the manufacturing facility where they was shown up close the traditional crafts of crystal making, even getting a chance to practice their skills in crystal blowing.
