Irish Open Champion collects Waterford Crystal Trophy

York's Simon Dyson became the fourth English winner to claim the Irish Open title – one of the oldest championships on the PGA European Tour – and earned a right to have his name etched alongside such legendary players as Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Jose Maria Olazabal, Colin Montgomerie et al.

Dyson received the Waterford Crystal winner's trophy from Taoiseach Enda Kenny. With the victory, Dyson qualified for next week's World Golf Championship in Akron, Ohio.
