House of Waterford Crystal employees support the Save Ryan and Ethan appeal

Ryan and Ethan Caulfield McCormack from Tramore, Co.Waterford, were recently diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) a deadly genetic disease that destroys myelin, the protective sheath that surrounds the brain's neurons -- the nerve cells that allow us to think and to
control our muscles.

Ryan is currently in the US undergoing the process for a bone marrow transplant which is due to be performed on the 26th December 2012.
Ethan is currently asymptomatic due to his age and will become a candidate for a bone marrow transplant when his meylin sheath begins
to deteriorate. There is presently no cure for ALD.

The family are currently raising funds to cover the remaining costs of the transplants (1.5 million each, some of which is being paid by
medical insurance).

The House of Waterford Crystal employees were delighted to all work together to help create this unique limited edition centrepiece bowl.
Each and every craftsman at Waterford Crystal were involved in creating this stunning piece. This unique Waterford Crystal footed centrepiece will be auctioned by the Save Ryan & Ethan fund raising committee in the USA. Employees also raised €1,500 for the Save Ryan & Ethan fund.

Jack & Ethan recently visited the House of Waterford Crystal with their Grandparents to meet all the staff and to see how the beautiful
Waterford Crystal Centrepiece was made. The boys were taken on tour of all areas of the factory and Jack even tried his hand at cutting a
Waterford Crystal tumbler.
