“In terms of the craftspeople, we are the final department on the production line to receive the piece of crystal. When a production piece arrives in the Engraving department, the majority of the cutting has already been completed. However a portion of the crystal is left blank. This allows us to engrave the customer’s logo or an inscription if required.” “When designing the Studio Line pieces, we are given very little direction, usually just a simple heading upon which the piece is created. Once I select a shape, I design a suitable cut and finally begin engraving. It is essential that the engraving will suit the shape of the crystal that has been chosen. The only constraint on the Studio Line pieces is the time limit.”
